Ink. is onetime entertainment PR, sometime photographer and full-time punctuation pedant Arabella Gubay, a writer, editor and content producer with clients past and present including Britomart Group, Yahoo Australia, Yelp, Inc., People & Planet, the 48 Hour Film Project Melbourne, Twentieth Century Fox, Paramount Pictures and Pathe UK.
Armed with a First Class Honours Degree in Media and Culture from the University of the Arts London and experience in-house, agency side and freelance from across the communications spectrum; Arabella returned to Australasia in 2011 and soon spotted the potential for a friendly freelancing outfit offering editorial expertise to a plethora of industries.
With past writing and communications experience across film, fashion, food, music, beauty, the arts, culture, the environment, education, social justice, development, interiors and design, Arabella is adept at handling everything from editorial direction for magazines and websites through to features journalism, website re-writes and more.
And having written on topics as diverse as nanotechnology and Nepalese house price inflation, trendy dentistry and Teppanyaki dining, Arabella has an arsenal of esoteric facts, a keen eye for a great story and a strongly held belief that although the pen may not strictly be mightier than the sword it’s probably a nicer way to get your point across.
